| Science and technology are the driving force of human civilization in the 21st century. In this knowledge-based society, realization of our dreams largely depends on science and technology. Scientists and engineers are mandated to spearhead the advancement of the society. As the leaned society of distinguished scientists and engineers, the members of our Academy feel a great responsibility for the future of the country.
Since the inception in 1994, the Academy has been actively implementing a variety of programs, particularly in the areas of S&T policy studies and consultations, academic promotion, and international cooperation. The Academy has now established cooperative relationships with most of the leading scientific academies across the world.
Well settled down in its own office building built in 2003 and promoted in its legal status through the support from National Assembly members, the Academy is now ready for a great leap forward.
We will faithfully respond to the call of the times which demands science and technology to play an essential role in advancing the economy and all other sectors of the country.

We look forward to active interest and support from professionals in various fields, policy-makers, and the general public so that the Academy can successfully carry out its tasks and contribute to science community of science and technology.
